Prior to teaming with Gary Levinsohn in 1996 to form Mutual Film Company, MARK GORDON (Executive Producer) was already a well-established producer in the Hollywood community. His earlier producing successes include such films as the John Woo-directed Broken Arrow, starring John Travolta and Christian Slater, as well as the 1994 international blockbuster Speed, starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Dennis Hopper.

Gordon has also produced numerous television projects, including the Emmy Award-winning documentary short subject, which he also directed, Nothing But Sun–a journey through the Holocaust as seen through the eyes of children; and The War Between The Classes, for which he won an Emmy Award for Best Children’s Program. Gordon began his producing career with The Buddy System, which appeared off-Broadway at Circle In The Square.

Most recently, Gordon and partner Levinsohn executive produced A Simple Plan, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton, and Bridget Fonda, with Mutual Film International performing foreign distribution. Gordon and Levinsohn also developed and produced–with Steven Spielberg and Ian Bryce–this past summer's critically acclaimed Saving Private Ryan, which was directed by Steven Spielberg and starred Tom Hanks.

Under the Mutual banner, Gordon has also produced Hard Rain, starring Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater and Paulie: A Parrot’s Tale with Dreamworks SKG. Gordon has also served as executive producer on The Jackal, starring Bruce Willis and Richard Gere; Primary Colors directed by Mike Nichols, starring John Travolta and Emma Thompson; and Black Dog, starring Patrick Swayze.
