MIKE RICHARDSON (Executive Producer) founded Dark Horse Comics in 1986, dedicated to providing more sophisticated fare for the market. The concept was a success with such titles as The Mask, Concrete, Sin City and Hellboy, as well as an innovative licensing program to create new plots for such established film characters/titles as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Aliens, Predator, Terminator and Robocop.

In 1990, Richardson formed Dark Horse Entertainment to produce feature film versions of the Dark Horse stories. The Mask, starring Jim Carrey and Time Cop, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme were followed by Barb Wire, starring Pamela Anderson. Richardson is also producing the upcoming Universal feature The Mystery Men.
