STEVE JOHNSON (Robotics Effects Designer) had the formidable task of creating the humanoid droids–Bio-Alexi, Bio-Bob and Bio-Squeaky, plus many other droids. Johnson’s company, XFX Inc., has had a hand in a number of memorable effects for movies, including Sphere, The Abyss, Anaconda, Species and the ABC miniseries based on Stephen King’s The Stand.

Prior to forming XFX, Johnson headed the creature shop for Richard Edlund’s Boss Film Corporation, where he worked on such titles as Ghostbusters, Fright Night, Poltergeist 2 and Big Trouble in Little China. Prior to Boss Film, he supervised effects on Videodrome and Greystoke.

Additional XFX credits include the feature films Kiss The Girls, U-Turn, Brainscan, Freaked and commercial work for Reebok’s "Clones" and Duracell batteries’ "Puttermans."
